Roomate is trying to claim wages for helping with house duties scam please help has anyone dealt with this??? |
SAID $250 NO DEPOSIT HOUSE DUTIED 3 BD 2 BA ... IN ADD SAYS LOOKING FOR TENANT WHO WILL PAY LITTLE RENT BUT DO HOUSE DUTIES TO MAKE UP FOR RENT.THIS HORRIBLE WOMAN WHO CONVINCED US SHE WAS USED TO HOUSE WORK ( VACUUMING, DUSTING SWEEPING, WIPING DOWN COUNTERS) MOVED IN ON 7TH OF APRIL ( YES THIS MONTH) WE SIGNED MONTH TO MONTH AGREEMENT STATING WHAT HOUSE DUTIES WE NEEDED, SHE AGREED AND SIGNED... SHE WAS GONE FOR ABOUT 5 DAYS OF THE 12 DAYS SHE STAYED HERE THEN ON THE 17TH SHE ASKS US TO SIGN HER OWN VERSION OF THE CONTRACT SAYING THAT OUR CONTRACT IS ILLEGAL AND WERE CONSIDERED EMPLOYERS AND THAT SHE " JUST WANTS EVERYTHING TO BE LEGAL. WE DIDN'T SIGN- THANK GOODNESS BUT INSTEAD WE GAVE HER NOTICE ON THE 18TH THAT SHE HAD 30 DAYS SHE HAD THE OPTION OF TAKING THE 30 DAYS OR MOVING OUT EARLY AND RECEIVING THE DIFFERENCE BACK TO HER FOR HOWEVER MANY DAYS SHE MOVES OUT EARLY. NOW SHES SUING FOR WAGES SAYING SHE WORKED 65 HOURS? BUT I WAS PERSONALLY HOME 95% OF THE TIME AND ITS A LIE! im sory she is trying to take us to the labor comissioner. i wish i could upload the contracts for everyone to see! please email me if you think that might help! whats wierd is there is two typos on the "notice of claim and conference, thank you sooo much for your responses and advice please keep them coming. i have never had to deal with this before If she's suing, it has to be in Small Claims Court. You don't need a lawyer but you need all the paperwork associated with the case, and any witnesses if you have any. why don't you send me your paypal address and I'll send you $5 |
