Tenants rights on cleaning? |
i have lived in my rental home for almost 5yrs...i have 4 children.. the carpet does have stains on it..there is carpet even in the dining area...when is it the landlords responsibility for the carperts? also the paint on the walls i found out is non washable paint....that was a stupid idea..sooo i cant wash the walls... i heard 3 yrs for the landlord to replace the carpet...is that true??? i am in ca... Rental laws are different in every state (I think in some states the landlord has to paint every 4 years or something while its inhabited).. So you need to check what the laws are in your area. Nope it is your responsibility. I hate to say it, but it is the tenant has to clean the carpets. |
