Ohio labor law?

My husband called me regarding a guy at his work this morning. He was on vacation and the president of the company wanted the woman who brings him to work tell him he was fired and not pick him up anymore. Well...she brought him to work and as soon as he got there they fired him, telling him it was because he was on vacation last week. Is there anything he can do about that? This place is so shady and I would love for them to get busted for something. They already screwed all of the people that have been there for over 5 years and were told last summer they would all get three weeks vacation after 5, so they all planned accordingly and now that extra week has been taken away.

Any help would be appreciated.

Ohio is an at will employment state. Unless he had a contract or union protection, probably not much that can be done; have him speak to the National LAbor Relations board locally; they may have an idea if there is anything worth pursuing

Mindy i afraid nothing can be done about it I live in columbus and I have a friend that a labor lawyer he told me unless he has a contract or belong to a union he can do nothing but file unemployment sorry but ohio laws are no good and favor the employer
