Well, they are going to make a decision as to how to proceed with arbitration based on the facts. They won't defend you blindly, there needs to be merit to negotiating better terms for you. I assume the contract doesn't read that regardless of the facts you have a right to arbitration. Welcome to the union buddy. Unions had there place back in the day, but not in todays world. Good luck. It might have something to do with why you got suspended or if you have been in past trouble at this place of employment. That is the hard truth of being union.
