I'm 16, with a strong willingness to break my back working.? |
I want a job really really bad! Is there anything I can work at besides fast food??? I live in Tulsa Oklahoma, if that helps. At 16, your best bet is good old fashion leg work. Go to the various fast food and retail establishments nearby and apply. You can also search the help wanted section of the newspaper, but leg work will probably be the most rewarding. Remember your first impression counts, so dress for an interview even when picking up apps. You could get an interview on the spot if your timing is right. I suggest you go into business for yourself, you can easily make more than $10.00 an hour starting out at your age. You can mow lawns, wash cars, wash houses, trim small trees and shrubs, detail interior of cars, clean interior of houses, you can do painting, do anything you can that is simple, you will learn as you go, the trick is to talk to as many people as you can, the more people you talk to the more opportunities that will be available to you, good luck At 16 your not going to even get a "good" labor job until you finish school. Use this time to figure out which field of work is right for you try a few out here and there and plan on building a CAREER not a JOB. Big big difference. I wish more 16yr olds would have that kind of work ethic. You should become friends with my teen age son. Maybe he will catch it. That is so cool...way to go |
