Loopholes around laws limiting work for a 15 year old?????please help????? |
I'm a 15 year old guy and the supid texas child labor laws say that I can only wokr 20 hours a week (during school) and before 7:00pm... My parents are completely fine with me working however many hours and however late, but the law just won't let that happen. I tried applying at Whataburger with an older friend who i was going to car poolwith and the manager was fine with that, but he said there were too many laws thaty limited GREATLY to what I would be allowed to do, and that involves not working on a grill, fryer or pretty much anything. I was wondering if there werre any loopholes around this and if my dad could possibly sign an either official or unofficial document stating that i have my parents consent to work as much as any 16 year old. I just need a summer job because All my firends are working so I need to keep bvusy so I can make some $$$ instead of sitting around all summer please help. Check and see if you can find a request for child labor law sheet from your (possible) employer or your school. I know that they allow kids under 15 for certain jobs, but not necessarily at Whataburger. Thats a really funny name for a restaurant...they don't have whataburgers where I live! |
