I have an idea to save the state of SC $76 mil! How do I get my idea to the right people?

The state of SC spends $238mil a year on housing inmates that become unemployable ex-cons at some point. I have an idea that would take "would-be" ex-cons from the already overworked-underpaid-back log that is our judicial system and turn them into productive working members of society. My plan also allows for economic rewards by providing local employers with discounted labor. The program would even become self sufficient, not wasting any public funds!
I NEED A TEAM!

I think it is a great idea to look into. I also am interested in getting a program like that in my community (NC). Many ex-cons are first time offenders and may have just made a crucial mistake when they were young and have learned from past mistakes. Everyone deserves a second chance in life. First I would try to partner up with other organizations in your community...maybe a church or non-profit. If not you probably would have to set up a non-profit organization, so partnering can eliminate that step. I would get the word out to correctional officers, correction facilities, social workers, and parole officers. They could be extremely helpful. The Second Chance Bill was signed by the president on April 9th, which provides grants to organizations to help ex-cons reenter the community. That's just a start...Good Luck!

Try getting a lot of autographs of people who like your idea and then send a letter with the autographys of the people the the governer and then wait for an answer. if that doesnt work get a group of people who like your i dea go to the goverer and talk to him.

What makes you think any company wants to hire a bunch of ex-cons. I would not hire them, nor would I work at aplace what does.

What makes you think these ex-cons want to work. Many got there becasuse they rather steal than work.

that is forced labor and is unconstitutional; they would have to be paid minimal wage correct?

but they can hire people off the streets for that.

your idea will not work.
