Verbal abuse? NYS labor laws?

Okay so my cousin has or should i say had a pretty good job but her boss keeps cursing her out and causing her major emotional abuse. This has been going on for about a month and she never said anything becasue it was a well paid position. Today however, he cursed her out then fired her. Is there any way she could sue him for emotional abuse? There are co-wokers of hers that has seen the way he treated her so she has witnesses. She lives in NYS. Please help

Any person can sue another person for any reason. So, to answer your question, yes.

Will she win, probably not. Why? Because it would appear that she did not have a problem with his cursing etc. If she did, then she would have stopped working their or have spoken to her boss. I do not believe she had emotional abuse. Again, if she did, she would have left.

Secondly, it seems odd that NOW she wants to sue because she was terminated. It really would not matter if she had witnesses or not.

Yes, she could sue him.

And, yes, she will most likely lose based on the facts you presented.
