Does a man have a right for a child if the woman wants an abortion?

Does a man have a right for a child if the woman wants an abortion? The man is still the father of the child however you look at it and should have the right.

If a man has to pay child support to a woman that's taking care of a child because that's his due for the child, can a man ask a woman to give labor and give child support as her due for the child if he wants to keep the child and the woman does not (or wants an abortion)?

If the answer is no to either questions, then that would throw equal rights out the window.

I believe that the man has every right to his child as the woman. What you people think?

This question is not about me or my woman or a child. Its just a thought that came up.

You have to see the laws of your state. But if you do make her carry the baby for nines months you will have to paid her. She has the rights to rent out her womb Out. Nothing is Free you know.

abortion it's criminal
use contraceptive because you destroy the life
an embryo is a life

According to Roe v. Wade, the child is not a child until it's out of the womb. The woman has all the power here, and the man has no say whatsoever.

According to morality and ethics, the man's right to that child should carry the same weight as the woman's right to abort it.

That's one reason, among many, why Roe v. Wade should be stricken down.

I agree with you completely, my sister and I just had this discussion. I don't believe he has a right to keep her from getting an abortion. you're right, it's not fair when women can go again a man wanting to get an abortion and then force him to pay child support.

unfortunately I don't think it will ever change, honestly though I don't know any guys (not saying that there aren't any, there are just few and far in between) who would disagree with an abortion if the girl wanted it.

No..

This is a tough issue. Being a guy, I would hope that the woman carrying my child would give consideration to me wanting the child before getting an abortion. I personally think abortion is horrible. Once a species resorts to killing its young, where does that put us? But, that is not the question.

I think this is completely situational. Women do have to deal with the physical burden of carrying a child. However, I don't know if I could live with myself knowing that I had a hand in aborting a child.

in my own opinion, if the man wants the child, he should have to carry and give birth to the child

The answer would be no. The woman has a right to her own body and as that is where the child will have to live for the first nine months, while the father may have a paternal claim over the child, he is no way of possession of the mother's body. Any decisions she makes are her own.

I doubt any woman would agree to carry a child she did not want and then pay money until that child came of age.
