I'm taking a poll on who would be upset if their husband worked 40 hours straight in 2 days with no break? |
I'm talking about leaving on a Tuesday at 6am and then not leaving untill Thursday morning. Are there labor laws for this? Is this unheard of? Let me know what you would think ladies if you believed your man that he was at work. Would you be concerned for his lack of sleep? Exhaustion? I don't know anyone who can work for 40 hours straight. That means he was up all day, then all night, then all day the next day. I would suspect cheating. Trying to make you feel guilty for being concerned is just an obvious tactic for hiding something. And flowers right after? Watch where he goes next time this happens. It isnt unheard of to work long crazy hours. My brother in law works three days straight one time. He did have breaks of course but he never went home. It sounds like you may be questioning the possibility of him not working and telling you that he did. Is this the case? Sit down with him when you can and ask him flat out if he lied to you. Women have a good sense of when a partner is lying to them. Trust your gut, it is usually right. my husband just worked 18 days straight because of firings/quittings at his job,so i do believe there are situations where work can get out of hand.however,he came home every night between shifts and didnt send/bring flowers.if ur husband didnt come home at all,and felt the need to bring (guiltY?)flowers, there may be an issue here.also,he puts the guilt back on u,and makes u feel guilty for being concerned-classic male behaviour ,if something is going on,is to throw it back at u,like ur crazyor imagining things.u need to find out whats going on.call his work and ask his boss about the excessive hours.the boss will either explain, which will put ur mind at ease,or he will say"what extra hours?"then u will at least kno ur suspicians are justified. I would be very suspicious if my husband said he had worked for 40 hours straight and he had better bring me some proof of this. I would be checking his hours on his pay check and I would be showing up at his place of employment unexpectedly the next time it happened. Well I can't answer for a woman, other than that my wife and I are both in tech and we have both pulled 2 day shifts before. Firemen do it all the time as well. Whenever we have to work crazy hours like that we have an agreement that we stay at a particular motel overnight before coming home. That way we always know where to find each other, so there is trust, and we also feel safe about the other driving home. As long as you know that it is legit and he is really working, then just let him stay at a motel and get a few hrs rest before heading home, that is what we do. But... I would make sure it is all legit. Hmmmmm Let me see.... gone for 40 hours, Flowers, and he doesn't want you to worry????? 1+1= Hmmmmm let me see oh yeah!!! *2******* The flowers are a dead give-away........he was not at work sweetheart. My husband has done that when they were on deadline. Hmmm. I would bwe suspicious too. What benefit would his company have for him working such strenuous hours. My gut says check into it further. My husband is a Soldier and he is the only one that I have ever heard of working such crazy hours and |
