Do you really care about Wal Mart's sub-par treatment of employees if it means you get lower Prices? |
Just saying. Wal Mart's rep is notorious forpoor treatment of employees, anti labor policies, "sweatshop labor", ect. But do you care if this means that prices are lower. Walmart has done more wrong than treat their employees like dirt. I won't even get into how they kill little "Mom & Pop" businesses everywhere they build one of their huge eyesores of a store. Yes. I refuse to have anything to do with criminals. if wal-mart treats their employees in a sub par manner then why does anyone work for wal-mart? the best thing that workers can do is not work for a company that so called treats them unfairly. wal-mart must be doing something right because people still go to work for them. mr doodles Money is tight, and if I can get things for a cheaper price then, I'm sorry, but I will shop at Wal-Mart because of it. Are these employees conscripts?? They are there by choice, I do believe. No While I dont shop/work at Walmart it is the employees choice to do so. They are not forced to endure this treatment. ya they shoud be nice and the place should be alot cleaner, its so messy, the people there are so rude, and it smells I HATE WAL MAAART Well, I do support Wal Mart, but not only for its low prices. I support them because their lower treatment they give their employees allows them to grow and expand, putting up more stores, hiring more people, and these new jobs help lower unemployment. I also support them because they supply competition in our market today, providing better quality goods and those goods at lower prices. When Wal-Mart was a struggling entity, no. But now that it is in the Fortune 500, can't it afford to pay its employees better? I dislike a lot of walmart policies, however the wage scale there is average or above for any retailer, usually much better,go see what the mom and pop shops are paying their workers and how many non-family full time people they provide work for. Most walmarts pay considerably more than other stores in their area, thats why they can employ several hundered people versus the employees of the week (where everytime you go in they have a new trainee that doesnt know sh*t in charge) situation found at most local nonfamily stores I personally believe that they should treat their employees even worse, if that means that prices could be lowered even further. Yes. I haven't shopped at Wal-Mart in 6 years. I don't care how they treat their employees. |
