Fair Labor Standards Act???

Hi I'm in student congress and we are debating about Employers shall be limited to scheduling employees to suffer or permit to
work no more than 36 hours in a week, divided into no more than four workdays.

Is there any arguments/websites to go against it that labor should be the usual 40 hours a day and 5 days a week. I assume money would be a huge problem if people can't live without money.

If you think it's a good idea look at what has happened in France since they shortened the work week. Anyone who believes 40 hours a week is too strenuous is probably on welfare anyway.

Looked in the New York sites, didn't see the actual hours permissible in that state, with the exception if the child is 16 or 17 and not in school, can work full time.
