Labor Laws In Michigan?

I have a situation with my employer and I nned some info on if what they are doing to me is Legal.

My work schedual is 10am-5pm. For the last few weeks my employer as been making lunchs manditory (30min.) and then making me leave about 3pm or 4pm. Can they legaly do that and if they can do they have to pay for the break if I haven't worked 6 hours? Were can i find this info? And what does the federal Gov say about it?

Please help me and please leave referances.
thank you

what kind of business?
they do not have to pay for a break if they give you 30 minutes uninterrupted. if your break is less then 20 minutes they pay for it. as far as sending you home early most businesses have every right to do so. sorry this is not what you wanted to read but they have every right to control their labor cost.
