Labor laws in Louisiana? |
I work for a company where you have to stand on your feet for about 5 hours a shift. One of my friends that work with me asked to go on a 15 minute break. The floor manager told her no that she didn't get a break. At this job some people get a break while others don't. I know that isn't right, but legally is she allowed a break for every 4-5 hours of work in Louisiana? She really needs to look for somewhere else to work. "Neither state nor federal law requires that employees 18 years or older be given any break (including lunch). The failure to give a break is, therefore, not a violation of law." |
