Nys labor laws on vacation pay? |
my friend got vacation pay for time taken last month and she is now leaving that job, gave her boss 2 weeks notice and he told her that she has to pay him back the vacation pay he gave her. i think this is wrong. please help Vacation pay is earned weekly or monthly if you get 12 vacation days per year you earn 1 per month... if you leave July 30th...you have earned 7 days and must return the paid vacation days not earned. If she took more days than she earned this year, which she probably did considering it's only March, she owes him for the extra days and he is legally entitled to take the money out of her paycheck. |
