California Labor laws for minors?! help me.? |
Ok. So I am 16 and I live in California. I want to get on independent study, meaning that I would no longer go to school, but get all of my schoolwork sent to my house to complete there. I know there are laws about minors only being able to work a certain amount of hours and only certain time brackets, and I was just wondering how they would change if I was not attending school. thanks... The two questions aren't connected. Home study doesn't affect work rules. In order to work more than the law allows you need to be declared an emancipated minor by the courts. Emancipated Minor means that you are legally an adult. btw, this won't be easy to get a court to do. |
