Juvenile Record came up on FBI check?

Ok so the FBI did a background check and my juvenile record showed that i had two felonies. I am now 21 and it happened when i was 16. I thought once your 18 it goes away. I also still owe the court $400. How could i get this off my record? I understand that i have to pay the fees A.S.A.P. I have not been in trouble since. Thanks for your help

I also thought cause i owed the money is why its still there im wondering if i pay it will it go or not and how i can make it go away permanently

It is always there to some degree. Police services (like the FBI), child protection agencies, the Justice Department, and other similar government agencies will always have access to that information. The information cannot be used to convict you or disclosed to a jury on another criminal matter, but it is all still there.

It won't (or shouldn't) however show up on a criminal record check performed by an employer.

An FBI check is all inclusive of your whole life. So if you liked to drink kool aid grape in the 5th grade, the FEDS will find out. Usually FBI checks are for FBI jobs and certain other Federal Government jobs and the military.
The juvenile record getting expunged only applies to court cases when your an adult and only certain other government jobs that don't do extensive background checks. But if your joining something like the military I am pretty sure they do a FBI background check of your whole life.

FBI check will reveal everything about you. Even if you werent convicted of a crime they will still see that you were charged. Myself and 66 of my classmates got arrested at our senior keg party back in 2000. I was 18 but my a lot of my friends were 17. It is still on their record as is on mine. One of them is now a cop. They saw that he was arrested for being at a party and they looked past the incident. The FBI doesnt look past anything.

Your record stays with you, your age either at the time of the incident, or at the time of the record check is a non issue. Perhaps you should pass on the news to others that are in a position to learn from your mistakes, and stay clean.

When my friend was applying for a job with the local police department, her juvi record came up too. They told her they couldn't hire her but she got a lawyer to seal the records and was hired a couple of weeks later.

maybe it's still on your record because you owe the money?
