Certain age in Michigan to get juvenile felony expunged?

I am 20 years old. I have read you have to be at least 24 to do so. It doesnt sound right to me? I set up an appoint to talk to an attorney about getting it exponged. It seems like he wouldnt even work with me if this is true until i was the right age. By the way its a legal aid attorney if that matters.

To get felonies expunged (whether you committed the crimes as a minor or adult) you ahve to wait a minimum of 7 years. That can actually be longer depending on the crime. That can also be 7 years after completion of the sentence. So, if you were on probation until you were 18, you'd have to wait until you are 25 to have your record expunged.

But this really shouldn't matter. Juvenile records are sealed. The case would only come back to haunt you if you committ another crime.
