How can i get rid of an out-of-state ticket? and deal with Michigan driving laws? |
i am on driving probation in Michigan because i have 11 points on my license, and i just got a four-point speeding ticket in Ohio. i'm so close to getting off probation on May 27. the officer said that i would be sent a notice of the citation in about a month to two months, so would that be out of my probation if that's when the notice is sent? and what happens to my points after probation? are they the same? so now if i can't get rid of this ticket, i will have 15 points... i know my license is going to get suspended. if that happens, when do you get it back and how? and is there any way i can fight this ticket without going back to Ohio? i was charged as a juvenile... so it might get sent back to my home district? ahhh someone help me and let me know what i can do! i will change my speeding ways, i promise. Either go to Ohio and fight it or kiss your license good bye for awhile. Since you knew you were close to getting it suspended you probably should be more careful. You will no doubt be "out of luck". You knew you were "on probation" yet you sped anyways. That was YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to drive while obeying the rules. Sorry, driving is a "privilege", and to earn that privilege one must obey the traffic laws. All traffic tickets through all the States will go back to your home State, sorry. The Police "share" their information which is only right. Good luck to you. Perhaps when and if you get your license back you will have learned from your misdeeds and be the more responsible driver. |
