Georgia law concerning juveniles?

How can I look up a link to see what exactly is legal for a police officer to do when stopping a minor walking. I know it sounds odd, so what is happening is: police officers drive down our street occasionally, which is great, but this one cop is showing signs of being arrogant. I want our son to be respectful & he has never been in any kind of trouble before, so there is no reason to want to not answer the police officers questions (he pulled up to my son while he was walking home from a friends and stared at him fora few seconds, then asked him a bunch of questions about where he was going to/ coming from, was a parent at home, where did he live...etc. I told our son to keep his hands out of his pockets and answer what ever he asks, BUT, to tell him that I'm at home and come get me if he wants to know anything else.
