Will they suspend my license or give me driving privileges?

OK so here's the story. Yesterday i was driving in the rain and i slide around a corner into this guys wooden fence. I'm only 16 years old and have had my license for 3 weeks. He called the cops and was nice about it but, i still have to go to Juvenile Court. Do you think they might suspend my license or give me privileges? It's my first offense so....i shouldn't get in much trouble right?

What do you mean "give me privileges"? You already have the privilege to drive. That could be taken away, but I doubt it.

Some restrictions may be placed on your driving until you are better at it. Many US states already limit teen driving to daytime hours and limit the passengers they may have in the car.

You might have some similar restrictions including some relating to weather.

If you have insurance to cover the cost of the fence, they are probably just trying to "get your attention" by having you appear in court. Be prepared for a lecture. You will get a fine and probably a warning of what will happen if you have anymore driving problems.

Well, it sounds like your driving was reckless. If you get only a ticket and have to pay the damages, consider yourself lucky. It is the judge's call.

You will probably get a ticket for something like "driving too fast for conditions".
