What are the juvenile shoplifting and tresspassing laws? |
My 17 1/2 year old son was caught shoplifting at Walmart, got kicked out of all walmarts and put on probation, then a few monthes later went back to a different walmart and was caught shoplifting again. Luckily they didn't look at his record, but now he has court in a month and I have no clue what the trespassing, shoplifting, probation violation etc. laws would be in his case. Plus the possibility of him being tried as an adult now... Please help me out! Thanks. :o) at 17 they wont charge him as an adult if it was under $250 each time for the items he attempted to steal. He'll just get probation again, pay court costs, and get around 20-40 hours of community service. They also might make him get counseling on top of it if they see that he has the prior charge. Don't go to Walmart. They are corporate criminals that abuse workers, cheat communities out of revenues, bolster the economy of China at our expense, and destroy local retail businesses. He apparently isnt afraid of his consequences. He needs to realize who is in charge at this point. Not him or You. He made his bed, now let him sleep in it. No not luckily for Wallyworld. Your son needs some tough love before he winds up in the pokey with hardened criminals. The laws depend on what state you live in. |
