Speding Ticket? |
I got a speeding ticket a couple weeks ago, i was going 49 mph in a 30 mph zone in smyrna tn. I didn't get a fine, but i got a court date, and since im a juvenile, i have to go out of town to a juvenile court. i looked it up on the internet for symrna's traffic fines, and mine is $95, but since i have to go to court, i have to pay court costs ($75) and tax ($18.75). which makes it $188.75. If i go to the court before my court date to pay the fine, do i still have to pay the court costs? seems like your mis-understanding the question. Do i still have to pay the court fees if i go in BEFORE im originally scheduled to appear in court. And im going in just to pay the fine and get it over with. as in not going through with a court trial Yes you do. Yes, you still have to appear before the judge as mandated by your ticket. Otherwise you can face more serious consequences. Call the judge and ask if you can just pay the fine. |
