Being as how vicious the attack was on the 16 year old by other teens was?

Do you not think that all crimes of this nature should be treated the same way? They are being charged as adults. Perhaps this will send a message attacks like this will not be tolerated by juveniles.

I am glad they are being tried as adults. This senseless beating was premeditated. These sorts of things should never be tolerated.

Sir Singleton, don't you think the chair would be a little better, but without the sponge and force the other teens to watch how they are gonna go as well.
I think this would be much more better and satisfying.

EDIT: The sponge is to stop the head from catching fire. Removing it would be much better for the teens.

Teens should be charged as adults for any crime. They know right from wrong just as any adult does.

i think they should be handle on a case by case basis. and I think anytime a minor commits a crime, the parents need to get hauled into jail too! bet people would watch there kids more if they knew that "if little johnny does something bad, I'm going to the slammer"

They should be eradicated and hurled into the raging sun.

Yes i do those girls should no remorse for what they did they should be punished to the full extent as adults

As far as the circumstances surrounding this particular case are concerned I think it was prudent to charge these people as adults. Overall, any crimes or attacks by that matter should always be handled on a case by case basis with the proper authorities deciding what mitigating factors were involved, motives and intent. Some may not always like it, but we do still live in the land of innocent until proven guilty and suspect first, criminal after the proper finding.
