Help with my essay, it has to do with law/morality? |
did you hear about the 3rd graders in georgia that were planning to kill their teacher? First of all I dislike the whole criminal justice system. I definitely do not think impressionable 3rd graders should be put in jail as punishment. Do they deserve some kind of punishment? Definitely. Along with some sort of punishment (community service is my choice) I would sentence the children to some serious classes (maybe 1-on-1 sessions) that teach the children the meaning of what they were planning on doing and teach why that is wrong. I'm a fan of using logic and reason - and my logic and reason tells me, simply, that these are children we're talking about. They literally cannot fully comprehend the severity of their actions. I would be in support of the school and the parents disciplining them, but not anything further than that. |
