Do you have to file any paperwork when you reach the age of 18 and you want your juvenile records sealed?

Go to the local county court house and ask a judge.

I could have sworn this happened automatically, but different states have different rules. You should be able to look up your state statutes (laws) online.

If you want to make SURE that your juvenile record is sealed, hire an attorney to file a "Motion Sealing Juvenile Record" or some similar motion and order. Some records are never really private or sealed - law enforcement, the government or a savvy attorney or administrative agency can usually get copies of anything with a subpoena or the right judge.
