At what age are juveniles allowed to move out of their parents home? |
Can a juvenile move out and make their own decisions without parents permission when their 17 years old? I think most places are 18. But if you have graduated from high school and have a job and can afford it I see no reason your parents would not let you. But be sure you are ready just because you dont like some of there rules believe me they know best. You do not want to end up back home in 3 months. It is very expensive to live on your own and a lot of pressure at your age. If there is a problem of abuse or something like that they I suggest you talk to someone that is and adult that you can trust and I am sure they can help you move now. But if it is just wanting to move due to rules and stuff like that you should think twice before you make the move. Good Luck on your lifes journey. no, unless parents agree. It's not easy paying your own way. to get anything done you would need to be emancipated from your parents to be considered a legal adult, other than that you will not be able to put anything in your name such as an apartment, electric or phone bill, car..and so on. this depends on which state you are in of course. In Greece at any time.To tell you the truth the majority of people move out when they are 30 years old! It is almost always 18. But if a 17 year old moves out, what can anybody do about it? What are the police going to do- they can really do nothing. it depends on the state, in mine, no minor under the age of eight-teen can be with out adult supervision!! I've seen this happen to a boy that was four months from being eight-teen. |
