IT question?

17) What protects the intellectual property in program code?
a) Trademark
b) Patent
c) LLC
d) Copyright

copyright, but it only protects the specific code. If someone else creates the same program, using different code, no protection. Also, copyright must be registered to get maximum recovery.

patent CAN protect the system, if it is patented as a mechanism (there's some term, like business process or somehting) - BUT you must apply fo rand receive a patent.

TM only protects the brand name or phrase associated with the product

LLC is the business entity. it has NOTHING to do with intellectual property. Many people mistakenly believe that, just because they have registerfed an LLC or started a corp, they have protected their intellectual property. they have done nothing.
