Minor involved in Car accident uninsured and unable to pay.? |
I am a minor,16 years old, involved in a car accident that cost around $1,000. I was uninformed that this car's insurance expired when i drove it on a bad weather day. There were no tickets or anything issued. I have no job and have no money. What can the other guy do if I can't pay him anymore than about 500 bucks? What are the consequence? Please only answer if you are well informed or have experiences. Don't answer if you intend to discourage, I'm in bad stress enough.Thank you been there....when u goto court..the other insurance guys will make some kinda payment agreements with u...im sure theyll work somethin out with u They can, most likely, also sue the car owner for allowing you to drive an uninsured car. I know that they can go after you in the future thy can get a lien after you turn 18. you may have to go after the person that lent you the car they should be responsible for not keeping insurance on a car that they lent. as you are a minor the other party can sue your parents |
