A few months ago my dad was driving in the freeway, there was a lot of traffic and all the cars were pretty much stopped he was also stopped, this woman for some reason was driving very fast and didn't break on time and it hit my dads car ( it was a sienna 2001) it was total loss for my dads car. It all depends on the injuries and how much time he was out of work, etc. Based on your description, it sounds like the person who caused the accident was completely at fault, but there is likely another side to the story. However, the car alone should be worth at least $5000, so it does seem like you're getting screwed. It may be worthwhile to contact the insurance company directly. |
