Should I get a personal injury lawyer involved?

I was in a 4-car pile up a month ago. I was the 2nd car from the front and received 2 rear impacts and either 1 or 2 front impacts. Because my car and the car infront of me were stopped it was declared that we were not at fault. So now the 2 insurance companies of the vehicles behind me are fighting over who is to blame. Meanwhile I received a possible fracture to my wrist, 2 herniated disks in my lower back and neck injuries. I'm not really into getting a lawyer, but now I feel like it's getting complicated since they haven't even decided who's to blame. Then I have others saying that I shouldn't have to be paying any part of my medical.... but what do i do when I can't even settle until I'm done with treatment? Any advice on this would be helpful. If any of you have settled with or without a lawyer I would love any advice you can give. I do have PIP insurance, but it has a cap. Thank you.

to many cars involved you need someone looking after your needs go get the lawyer

Get a lawyer. You might think it's sleazy, but really, this is a situation where you should get representation for yourself.

kimbow82, I'm sorry to hear about your situation. I was hurt once in Oklahoma when a car backed over my left foot at work. My employer tried to settle with me quickly because I knew they were try to get me to sign some papers to release them from responsibility. I called a nearby lawyer in my area who gave me useful advice and I was able to get a small settlement to cover my hosptial bills that weren't covered by my primary insurance. I'd suggest you find a personal injury in your city. http://www.accidentlawyerlocator.com My lawyer was willing to answer any and all questions I had because they stand to make some money from any potential case. Try calling a injury lawyer to see if they can help.

Good Luck

How about your own vehicle insurance? Did you have full coverage? Talk to them they should do the "fighting" for you. Someone needs to pay and it shouldnt be you I am thinking both of them. You can get a lawyer they can get you more money and then they get their 33.3% after your medical is paid. (Thats the part that sucks) My mom was in an accident got a lawyer all her medical was paid and her chiropractor droped his bill in half (this is after a year of pain and suffering) and the lawyer wouldnt even budge she ended up with 6000.00 in her pocket.
