Does insurance company have to pay if I plead nolo contender for a failure to yield when entering a roadway? |
Does insurance company have to pay if I plead nolo contender for a failure to yield when entering a roadway? Why plead no contest if you are guilty? They both are treated the same. Yes, your insurance company has to pay, regardless of your plea. That is the whole purpose of insurance. Insurance companies recommend that you never admit guilt, which is was you are doing with a no contest plea. Why plead no contest if you are guilty? I got a failure to yield when entering roadway ticket and paid it because I knew that I was guilty. That doesn't mean that I wasn't extremely ticked off because I have never seen anyone get pulled over in that spot for failure to yield and NOBODY yields to anyone in the spot where I failed to. That doesn't excuse it though. Accidents can happen because of failing to yield, and obviously in your case and my case we were lucky and nobody got hurt. Traffic laws are in place for a reason. Your insurance doesn't HAVE to pay anytime. |
