Is it illegal in Washington DC to be covered by 2 different health insurance plans.?

I am covered by United Healthcare thru my job and Medicaid, is that illegal.

How is it you have a job and medicaid, too? Isn't that illegal?

Usually, people covered by a group healthcare plan cannot be eligible for medicaid. You should notify your social worker and have it stopped, as it is fraud.

It is not illegal at all. Lots of people have dual insurance. United health Care is your primary insurance and Medicaid will be your secondary and will take care of any claims that United does not pay for.

no. It's not illegal to be covered by 2 different health care plans. HOWEVER, in your case it IS Medicaid fraud as Medicaid is only for people who are not covered by other insurance or very poor health insurance. United Healthcare doesn't qualify as "poor insurance" coverage. That's a major carrier.

It is if you have told Medicaid about your job and insurance. Medicaid can be a second insurer in some situations, but you must disclose the other insurance company and the job to make sure it does not compromise your eligibilty for Medicaid.

It's not illegal anywhere.

Under your condition,I advise here for you to have a visit.
