What do you need to do before you get married?

I'm wondering what sort of legalities need to be taken care of before a woman would get married. What sorts of agreements need to be filed, what about assets, insurance, etc. And put them in simple terms if you could, I'm not up on my legal jargon.

i dont think you have to file anything but the marriage license. if you are concerned about protecting your assets, then talk to a lawyer about drawing up a prenup. its not required, but is a good idea if you are going into the marriage with a lot of assets.

for starters, think long and hard about marriage because the divorce rate is up to 60%.

A serious CHECK
