Life insurance; I want to lower it but company says I have to have a physical?

I have more life insurance than I need now that my son is grown, and I've sold my house, so I checked into lowering my coverage. I'm concerned that my insurance company might not be telling me the truth.

I asked my agent about lowering my policy amount, and he said I'd have to take another physical. I thought this was rather odd, since I'm not raising my coverage, but lowering it.

I have had nightmare issues with this company in the past with not paying benefits (after Hurricane Katrina). They were hostile, unprofessional; just horrific.

My agent here in my town is aware that I have had health problems the past few years, so it makes me wonder if this is on the up and up. I'm thinking they could be using this to try to deny me? (I have no life threatening conditions, nor smoke).

I would gladly switch companies, but I'm not sure how easy it is to get coverage.

Any input, and any suggestions of who are the best companies to get on with, is much appreciated!
Thanks!

If it were me, I'd check out other companies. There are many, just talk with their agents. You don't have to change, just get the facts. Here is a list for you:

Your situation are typical for a lot of people,so,be patient and calm down, check the resource i found useful.http://health-insurance.online-tips4u.in...

So get a physical! What else can you do!? Get the physical. Maybe that would be a good thing in the long run.
