What can I do to take possession of a car that I co-signed for my child who's a co-buyer who's deliquent? |
She has missed a payment and can't make her insurance payment. She took the car and told me that I had no right to keep the car from her. I really want her name off so I can sell it and not ruin my credit. Who is on the vehicle title? There are two issues here. Who has title to the car and who signed the loan agreement. If she is the only one on the title of the car, there is nothing that you can do to get hold of the car. There is probably nothing that you can do if you are both on the title. If she is not on the title, then you might have to involve the police/courts to get the car back. Get all your proof together and file in small claims court. I see it on Judge Judy all the time. |
