Hotel damage question?

my female friend was sleeping in the hotel room and was not scheduled to have her period and and lest I say she had an accident on the bed sheets. this is a natural occurance to women and should be something that hotels should be aware of and have insurance for. can they charge me for this? serious answers only or I will report you.

That is not normal wear and tear though. They need to be aware.....biological fluids are considered hazardous and they will probably have to get a new mattress. They can charge you and will charge you for the damages, even though it was an accident.

I don't think so, first time I've heard of this but unless the expelled content was severe I don't think you'll have any real problems with this.
Heck, I would think housekeeping/maids would rather just replace the sheets and be on with it. I'm sure they've seen much worse!
Most hotels already have the understanding that people use their establishments for other deeds, besides your lady friends "period" I'm sure that bed has seen other things come out of the human body...
Rest your heart aside from the normal hotel room charge, service fees, and taxes you shouldn't see anything else.

whether or not they have insurance is immaterial. what matters is the tarriffs that apply to your stay. if you or another guest leave the place other then you found it, except for soiling of the sheets and so forth, then expect to be charged for repair or replacement.

if you don't agree with the charges, then there are numerous ways to dispute the charges under consumer law. expect to lose , if facts are as you described though.

This is the first I've heard of this. I would say it happens all the times, I don't think that hotels go out and buy new mattress every time this happens. I'm pretty sure that hotels have disinfecting products that they use if this type of things happens. I would call around to different hotels and see what their procedures are. I would also ask them how come its not mentioned to customers when they check in.

They shouldn't charge you but you should call and tell them what happened so they can change the sheets. If this is the last day at the hotel, tell them.
