Driving in an Emergency without License-Follow-up?

I have the citation for no Insurance, Failed to yeild the right of way, and Driving without License

Do I have toget an insurance for my scooter even it is totally wreck now? Before attending to the court? I am injured, the driver who hits me has the right of way *he is not hurt or anything) (I thought the way is clear so I turned left) then 10days after the incident I have my Learner Permit . Are they going to stop me from getting a License? will that at least help in the court that I at least trying to do the right thing?

Do the Court accept the reason that I am driving without license in an Emergency? I hope I don't go to Jail... Yays

Insurance purchase probably won't matter now as you'll be surrendering the registration and plates; the violation will stick.

Yes that will kill any chance of getting a license for a year or so in most places.

You are REQUIRED to do the right thing BEFORE you get caught. Afterwards it's just window dressing.

"Necessity" is always a defense to a criminal charge. So if you 'had' to drive your scooter in an emergency that is a defense.

But what did you consider an emergency? If you had to get to the hospital because you were bleeding profusely and there were no ambulances available, that's an emergency. If you didn't have a ride to work, or to school, it isn't.

Dang Coco! Do you ride a scooter they same way you write. What was the emergency, you never did say? Oh, I get it, you would have continued to operate the scooter until you got caught, then you would start to get your license and try to play all innocent and say "at least I am trying". Not good enough, start whining some more.

yeah they will suspend you from getting you liscenes for a couple of years. I think youll be able to drive with your learners permit till than. getting insurance now will do absolutely nothing. If you had insurance at the time of the accident and show it at court that ticket would go away but since you didnt it will do nothing to get insurance now. you wont go to jail though, a couple of fines and you wont get your liscenes when ur suppose to possibly some comunity service (but prolly not). What kind of emergency? You may have an available affirmative defense of "justification" or "comparative harm". Normally the emergency would have to involve defending yourself or another from possible serious harm. Your actions would have to be objectively reasonable under the circumstances.

the courts love people like you - previous poster is right - 1000.00 or more in fines. They make alot of money off these kinda citations. Your excuse for driving for emergency purposes better be pretty dam good..

Where did you get even the idea?

You turned left following a car because you "thought the way was clear" so the oncoming car that had the right of way struck you while you were illegally driving a scooter with no insurance.

Citation 1 = No insurance
Citation 2 = Inattentive driving (Failure to yield)
Citation 3 = Driving without being licensed

Do I have everything about right?

You stated you were driving because of an emergency. Did you have a critically injured person on the scooter that you were taking to the hospital? I'll bet not. If it was an emergency you should have got a licensed driver to take you somewhere.

Here where I am you would be looking at $1,000 in fines and possibly 30 days in county jail. in addition to having your name sent to DMV to not allow you to get a license until fees are paid and a safe driver class has been taken.

No having your learners permit will not help. You will get it taken away from you.

You never said what kind of emergency, but know if you weren't bleeding profusely then NO emergency doesn't count.
