Am I likely to have my license suspended?

I have been pulled over twice now.
The first time, I was going about 10 mph over the speed limit, I paid it off, the end.
The second time, I was home for spring break and my mom needed me to take my sister somewhere, and I took her car because I'd left mine at school. And I wound up going 46 in a 30. whoops. Then the cop who pulled me over misread my insurance information and thought it was expired, and since it wasn't my car I just assumed she was right. She told me I could not pay the ticket, and had to go to court instead. But I was looking over all the paperwork later, and discovered that the insurance was not expired. So I explained the whole thing to my mom and she said she'd take care of it. I told her this was probably not a good idea, but she insisted upon going to court in my stead because my court date fell during exams. The judge was NOT amused, and now I have to go to court in a week, and I'm just wondering if he's going to suspend my license- my job requires driving.

Two speeding violations will not cause your license to be suspended unless the speed was excessive. If your insurance was not expired, then the citation will be dismissed.

Be VERY nice to the Judge and apologize all over the place, because what your mom did was technically contempt of Court.

But the Judge will probably let you off if you bring proof that the insurance had not expired.
