Will I get put in foster care?

Ok so heres the deal...I need someone that knows a lot about the Kansas laws. I got in trouble for drinking last summer...im still in trouble for it and if i messed up during the 90 days within going to court for it I would get in a lot more trouble and I did. Last night I got pulled over and got 2 tickets with 4 charges. No seat belt, no license, not up to date insurance, and speeding. I have to go to district court but they said if I take up to date insurance I will be ok with that. I'm almost 16. I need someone from Kansas who knows what they are talking about to tell me what might happen, and if they think I will be taken away from my parents.

Foster care? What family wants to be burdened with all that? You may have to worry a little bit more, like house arrest or juvenile hall.

The world is not waiting for you and your need for speed. Take a little time to do things in order. For example, I bet you're not making straight A's in school and volunteering at your local senior citizens' home after school 3 days a week, plus doing lots of household chores at home. In fact, I suggest you make your best effort to do all of these things from today through your court appearance date, and for the rest of your time at home with your parents if you get lucky enough to stay with them.

Make hay while the sun shines.

Not in any state will you be taken from your parents for getting in to that trouble. What will probably happen is you will have community service, fines, may not have a license for a few more years, and you may have to do some drug and alcohol counseling or other deterant. Don't be surprised if you spend some time in detention center before doing all of this.

You are not going to be taken away from your parents because YOU make poor choices.............

You simply got a traffic citation........you will be required to pay a fine (or your parents may be required to pay since your a minor) but do make sure to take current proof of insurance with you it will reduce that fine significantly

NO seat belt will probably get you a fine.
No license and insurance could be dropped if you can produce them within 24 hours.
The speeding will probably get a fine and traffic school.
It all really depends on your past troubles with the law and the mood the judge is in.

They won't take you out of the house. Chances are, you will get a good amount of probation, fines, and have to visit with the probation officer. The courts can be lenient to an extent, if you are trying to go the straight path. You got charged with no drivers licence, speeding, etc. You'll probably not see your license for awhile, they put that on hold. You are definitely going to be seeing a probation officer. Since you are still 16, you may even get a visit from the child protective services who may want to know what's going on that you are getting into trouble. Don't panic, they may or may not bother with you. They may want you in therapy or in a program that may help you stay out of trouble.
