Would my boyfriend lose his Medi-Cal? |
My bf and I have been together for over six years and have not gotten married (or moved in together) because of the fear that he might lose his SSI benefits and Medi-cal. I am not able to support both of us (especially in this ridiculous CA economy) nor am I able to provide medical insurance for him (no insurance company will touch him) if he loses his Medi-Cal due to marriage. We also need his SSI because we would not be able to pay bills without two incomes. America has a lot of anti-marriage laws. |
