Can I be sued for a 8 year old resposession in Texas? |
In Sept 2000 my boyfriend had a wreck in my car.,My insurance had lasped,I had the car repaired and had a payment plan worked out with the repair shop. I continued to make my payments on time, in March 2001 the lender came and picked the car up and paid the remaining balance on the repair bill. they sold the car. this was 8 years ago, now i am getting calls from a law office that is trying to collect on the car, can I be sued for this after all this time? You agreed to pay for the car and did not..so they can come after the money any time! |
