Is it to late to sue?

first i live in NJ .....this happened about 9yrs ago.... it was my first week on the job in a warehouse.. i was told to ride on the fork lift blades to get use to the place..( i know not a smart move) anyway we where coming around a tractor trailor anther forklift was coming around the other side the breaks on my forklift failed and we tried to avoid an accident.. i was pulled under the forklift and dragged about 100ft. i blew my back out twisted my neck and torn a bunch of tendons... months of rehab.. they paid all med bills and so on.. the accident was never reported to insurance or the cops a suit was never filed they paid me full pay with OT.. I worked there for about a year after that... now it is 9 yrs later and i am still under a doctors care for serve back injury , bad headaches, i can t stand for more then a few minutes, cant sit or lay down for more then a few hours.. it effects me still with my new job.. my presonnel life... they stop paying about 3 months (to be continued)

after the accident... The company is still in buisness...why did i wait so long?i tried to stick it out and it has only gotten worst... well there are many reasons death of my son and then my wife to name a few reasons.. anyway i though i had only 2 yrs but someone said 10 yrs...if that is true what type of lawyer would i need? how much would i get? there is a medial trail of paper work x rays and so on.......

The statute of limitations for personal injury in the state of New Jersey is 2 years from the date you were aware of the condition. I'm sorry, but the statute of limitations has passed.

Title 2A, Ch. 14, Sec. 2A:14-2

A statute of limitations is a law which places a time limit on pursuing a legal remedy in relation to wrongful conduct. After the expiration of the statutory period, unless a legal exception applies, the injured person loses the right to file a lawsuit seeking money damages or other relief.

You waited too late. In my state, the statue of limitations is one year from the date of the injury. If you get hurt on the job here, they will treat you like a king, for one year and one day and then they fire you and laugh at you for being so dumb.

It's probably too late.

Not only does the Statute of Limitations present a barrier, but the common law principle of latches would stop you.

Sorry.

You are out of luck on this one.

you need a workers compensation lawyer

There's a time limit on it 2 years is all you had Sorry
