What do you think of this -- is this major resume lying?? |
I have been reading the questions/answers, and I wanted to know your opinion on something. In this course I have learned genuinely useful skills with accounting software, architectural software, office software...etc! I have no desire to lie about skills I cannot backup. It's not lying, it's not even inflating the truth. Call it an intership, or fully explain. If you call it a job they will want to know things like how much you got paid (as that is an indicator of your value to the company) and that interest could lead to discovery of the truth. If you could claim in a tiny fraction of ownership, you could also describe it as being self-employed. I see nothing wrong with this at all. Perhaps you can create a "skills" or "volunteer work" section for this rather than list it under employment. Or, you could just list your boyfriend as an employer and a potential employer can contact him. Actually your description here sounds pretty good...it would sound good on a resume as well. |
