Can Insurance Companies Legally Keep Records Of Lapses In Coverage and Publicly Display Them To Others? |
As it is my understanding this is not legal for insurance companies to do because of the Privacy Act of 1974. It's illegal unless you give permission. And if you read your policy documents, and your insurance companies terms and conditions, you'll find that you DID give permission, even if you never noticed at the time. |
