How long does a minor traffic violation mark stay on your driving record? |
Is there a website that I can get proof of how long? i need to show to my auto insurance so they will lower my insurance. Usually 3 years, have them run an MVR (motor vehicle report)on you, that will show the violations received in the last 3-5 years. Your insurance company will probably do that at your policy renewal anyway, If you are looking for a decrease in premium mid term--it usually won't happen, The discount due to a cleaner record will occur at renewal. If you are part way through your policy term and don't want to wait until renewal to get the discount the best thing to do is shop around get another quote and start a new policy with another Insurance Co. I agree with the insurance agent. I know I've had accidents on my driving record for at least five years, (damm dears). My son even managed to get ticketed while driving my vehicles so I have to wait until that works its way out. I would contact your state motor vehicle divison and ask them for their laws and amendments. I live in nm and this is what our website looks like. |
