Auto claim lawyer not doing his job can I fire him? |
Ok, here is the deal. My husband was in a car accident and hurt his back. The other driver was at fault. The other drivers insurance is progressive. We went to a lawyer who does not get pain unless you paid. A reputable one I might add. Well its been about 10 months since we hired him and he has done nothing. He keeps saying that progressive will not settle. We finally got health insurance so we could actually find out what was wrong with his back and the lawyer is excited hoping we find something horrible wrong to stick it to progressive. Well we cant do that because our heath insurance will deny him if its pre excisting. All we wanted from the beginning was to get his medical payed for and nothing else. Progressive didnt want to do even that , hence the lawyer. So now to my question! obviousely the lawyer wants more money. We dont, we want medical. We could so that on on own . We dont wnat him anymore so do we have to pay since he didnt recover any money? sorry I meant paid. Also for all the other errors... you can fire an attorney at any time. Yes. You can fire your attorney. |

I assume you're talking about the other driver's insurance company, which will cover that driv... 2-3 times the medical damages plus lost wages. Add up all medical bills (from the beginning of your injury to the end, x-rays, prescription drugs, physical therapy, etc.) then 2-3 times this amo... the insurace should take care of the property damage, they are in charge of talking to the complex, getting quotes and paying for all of that damage, you dont have to do anything cause you already ... I'm not going to tell you all the things you should have done. The important thing is yes, you should contact your insurance company and get all the documentation (estimates they have, etc.) ... If the people were home, and the FD did not kick the door, then they would be liable for not doing your job if the people got sick, or if there were other complications. I would file a claim wit... |
