California human resources question? |
I'm a supervisor at a grocery store. Earlier this week an employee called to say that she could not come in to work because she to take her son to the doctor because he got hurt at school. My other co-worker told her that she needed to bring proof to us that she took her son to the doctor. However, our boss told us that we were in the wrong and we cant ask for proof because some employees may not have insurance. He said that only if the employee has insurance we could ask for proof. It doesn't sound quite right to me but just want to make sure. Is he right or wrong? The boss is always right. |
