Whiplash Settlement? |
I am trying to settle with the insurance company from an accident I was in last August. A woman hit my brothers car at a dead stop going about 50 mph. Because I wasn't driving I couldn't see it coming and got hurt far more than my brother did. I went to the emergency room that night and started treatment at the chiropractor the next day.I got treatment from August to December. When i finshed my treatment the doctor said I was only 80% better. I want to just finish everything with the insurance company. They offered $2400 with me ending up with $800. I don't want to be one of these people who take advantage of their situation but I also don't want to get screwed. Does anyone know the average settlement for this type of accident? Is it 2-3 times the original medical cost? 2-3 times the medical damages plus lost wages. |
