Broke and owing a lot. Help?!?!?

So my hubby got into a minor car accident and is at fault for it. He's also uninsured.
He gave the other party's insurance company all the necessary info. For whatever reason, the insurance company's lawyer is involved and has asked my hubby for money and is only giving him 6 mos. to do so.

My hubby is totally broke. He said he could probably swing $200 a month. I so don't think that's even doable. And that in itself wouldn't cover it in six months.

So...will he be taken to court if he doesn't have (all of) the money?

What happens if it's not paid off after 6 mos.?

Is it too late for him to contact his own lawyer?

I SAID I DON'T THINK $200 is doable. He'd have to go to Money Tree to even do That!!!!!!!!!

Judgement, liens; possible garnishment of salary and tax/federal returns depending on the state of residence

he can get an extention to pay threw the civil court system, he can deffinatly still get an attourney. he can do a motion for slow pay if he cant afford what they are asking him to pay

You are not broke if you can afford $200 a month. get a lawyer.
